Last week we talked about why people choose renewable energy for their impact investments, so this week we are offering you an example of what to expect from your first impact investment in sustainability!

Let’s take a look at a real life example: Clean Energy Impact Funds

A Clean Energy Impact Fund is an investment vehicle that works on financial projects and companies engaged in clean or renewable energy. The goal is to earn financial returns while making a positive environmental impact.

Here is a real life example of a Clean Energy Impact Fund found by RISE The Movement’s deal flow team: Energia.

How the WORLD will benefit:

  • You are creating a safer and more sustainable environment. By supporting these projects, you're actively reducing air pollution and combating climate change.

  • Cleaner air and water result from reduced pollution, promoting better health for both humans and wildlife and lowering the risk of pollution-related diseases.

  • Investing in clean energy projects can decrease a region or country's dependence on imported fossil fuels, enhancing energy security and reducing vulnerability to fuel price fluctuations.

How YOU will benefit:

  • Energia’s Internal Rate of Return (IRR) is averaging at 12% and an average dividend yield of 5.8%.

  • This fund offers lower minimum investments, and you have the flexibility to decide how long you want to hold your investment.

  • Unlike some private funds, this one doesn't have a set minimum investment.

  • The environmental incentive will help reduce your tax burden.

The Climate Conversation at COP28

founder gender

On the topic of climate change, let's check in on what has been happening so far at COP28, the world's largest annual conference on climate change.

This year in Dubai, Bill Gates' TerraPower and the UAE's ENEC announced plans to explore advanced nuclear reactors in the UAE and around the world, a move that aligns with the UAE's push for more nuclear energy. Over 20 countries, including the United States, pledged to triple nuclear deployment by 2050 to help fight climate change.

While nuclear energy is seen as a cleaner and more reliable resource, it faces funding challenges, as seen in a recent project cancellation in Idaho. Countries like Britain, Canada, France, Ghana, South Korea, Sweden, and the UAE are among the 22 nations supporting this effort to use nuclear power to reduce carbon emissions.
